Meet Steph

Monday 26 May 2014

I posted a question on my tumblr blog yesterday, asking anyone who was reading to tell me anything about themselves, about the places they want to go, what they want to be, their passions, strengths and flaws, inspirations and what makes them them.

Steph writes to me as she is half asleep, she figures her “ideas would be more raw and real if I typed them in this state.”

She was right and I’m so excited to introduce Steph on here! I’ve never met her in person but she’s absolutely divine and incredibly beautiful.

I’ve learnt a lot from the messages she sent me: travelling ambitions, close friends, family and music being her greatest passion. She let me delve into her thoughts and take a stroll through her brain, sharing her inspirations and deeply personal experiences.

What struck me most was how open and honest she was, how she’s so passionate about creating herself, her strengths simply being “loving and being kind” as Steph shares.

Without giving too much away, here is a thing or two I learnt about Steph.

Steph runs her own tumblr blog of two years, called Radical Attraction, which she describes as being pretty much whatever she enjoys. It contains vintage, vertical, indie posts, nature photography and people.

Steph describes herself as “ambitious”, “optimistic” and “a walking paradox.” She finds herself torn between decisions every now and then, but explains she is working on that. Steph firmly believes that spending time alone will help most people value their attributes and strive to become the better person.
Steph hopes to experience the world, “to not stress and worry about small problems in our fast paced society, to help save someone’s life, and to have a positive impact on the world.” She represents individuals who seek to create themselves, who has loved and lost, she shows courage and gives an insight to the beauty of human nature.

Most of her inspirations come from music, art and fashion, she is driven to “mold herself into the person she wants to be,” Steph explained.

Other things you may wish to know about Steph is her taste in music. Her favourite genre of music ranges from indie pop and rock, to boy bands, folk, and EDM. “I’m not a big fan of many “mainstream” artists.” Steph stated.
Steph also wishes to travel as often as she can. She envisions her future in California after graduating from high school, to study Psychology, “I believe California will act as a new start for me, a place where no one knows my old facades and I can truly be myself.”

Our conversation has brought me a lot of joy and her honesty is admirable and refreshing. Steph is very down to earth and our short encounter was an incredibly humbling experience.

Steph plans to use the summer to start posting regularly on her blog. Go on your own Steph adventure and check out her tumblr!
